You bought EA SPORTS FC 27 (often searched for as "FIFA 27") or FC Points on PC and want a refund, but EA's tool turns the request down or you don't know who to contact. The rules mainly depend on where you made the purchase and when you first launched the game. This guide follows the refund policy published by EA Help, listed at the end of the topic and checked on October 27, 2026. It does not replace the terms shown when you make your request.
What EA says
| Situation | Rule stated by EA |
|---|---|
| Full game bought on the EA app or EA.com (PC or Mac) | Refundable within 24 hours after you first launch it, or within 14 days of purchase if you haven't launched it |
| Pre-order | Refundable any time before the release date |
| New game bought within 30 days of release and unplayable for technical reasons within EA's control (servers, bugs) | Request possible within 72 hours after first launch instead of 24 |
| Bought on Steam, Epic, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo or from a retailer | EA can't refund it: see the retailer's policy |
| Premium currency bundle bought in-game (EA app) or on EA.com | Can be cancelled within 14 days if all the currency from the bundle can be removed from your balance and the bundle was a standalone purchase; request through EA |
| Premium currency bundled with an edition or earned in game | Not refundable |
| Editions that include virtual currency or content packs | Some are excluded from the EA refund policy |
| Downloadable content (DLC) bought separately | Not refundable |
| Same game | Two refunds at most |
Prerequisites
- Know where you made the purchase: the EA app or EA.com, or another store.
- Have access to the EA Account that placed the order.
- Know the purchase date and whether you already launched the game.
Step 1: Find out which store has to refund you
When to use it: before making any request, to know who to contact.
Step 2: Request a game refund with EA's tool
When to use it: EA SPORTS FC 27 was bought on the EA app or EA.com and you are within the time limits in the table.
Step 3: Cancel an FC Points purchase
When to use it: you bought an FC Points bundle in EA SPORTS FC 27 (through the EA app) or on EA.com less than 14 days ago.
Step 4: Track the request and prepare the Client_log file
When to use it: the request has been sent, or EA asks you to prove your eligibility.
Step 5: Don't file a chargeback without contacting EA
When to use it: you believe you are entitled to a refund that hasn't arrived.
Final check
- ☐ The store where you bought it has been identified (EA or another).
- ☐ The request was made within EA's time limits.
- ☐ None of the bundle's FC Points were spent.
- ☐ The status was tracked in your order history.
How to avoid this in the future
- If a child plays the game, set a spending limit: see FC Points purchase limit missing in EA SPORTS FC 27: enable Playtime.
- Avoid non-refundable payment methods: EA lists carrier billing, prepaid cards such as PaySafeCard and some third-party payment providers.
