Microsoft’s KB5127936 (October 28, 2026 preview; builds 26300.9818 / 26200.9818 for Windows 11 26H2 / 25H2) lists a gradual-rollout [Live Captions] item: a new Include screen reader audio setting, which is off by default.
With the setting off, Live Captions will not transcribe audio from screen readers such as Narrator, JAWS, and NVDA, keeping captions focused on microphone and system audio. To turn the setting on, go to Settings > Accessibility > Captions.
The same KB notes that Windows 11 24H2 no longer receives non-security preview updates starting with the October 2026 release — so this preview track is about 25H2 / 26H2. Gradual rollout means the documented Live Captions change does not arrive on every device at once even after the package is installed.
No hands-on Live Captions / screen-reader lab test is claimed here. This topic is not a second long article on Magnifier (lot23), XBOX mode / Gaming Task View (topic 434), or Memory Integrity. On a managed PC, ask IT before installing an optional preview.

Question: after KB5127936 (or an equivalent preview), do you see Include screen reader audio under Captions, and do you leave it off so Live Captions does not caption Narrator / JAWS / NVDA?
