XBOX mode in KB5127936: refreshed Gaming Task View / nav bar

Tutorial

Microsoft’s KB5127936 (October 28, 2026 preview; builds 26300.9818 / 26200.9818 for Windows 11 26H2 / 25H2) lists a gradual-rollout [XBOX mode] item: a refreshed Gaming Task View experience with a new navigation bar that provides quick access to Exit to Desktop and Power Options, making key system actions easier to reach while gaming.

KB footnote 1 states that feature availability may depend on your device or market. Treat this as a gradual / possibly market- or device-dependent change — not as something every PC shows immediately after install.

No hands-on XBOX mode / Gaming Task View lab test is claimed here. This topic is not a second long article on Magnifier from the same KB package. On a managed PC, ask IT before installing an optional preview.
