In Ultimate Team in EA SPORTS FC 27 (sometimes searched as "FIFA 27"), you can't qualify for Champions Finals, you think you need to reach Division 6, or you can't find your points balance? This guide covers the qualification rules described by EA Help and turns them into a diagnosis.

How qualification works in FC 27
In FC 27, qualification relies on Champions Qualification Points (CQP):

Step 1: check that Champions is unlocked on your Club
When to use it: Champions appears locked, especially on a recent Club.

- Complete these Objectives before looking for a CQP problem.
Expected result: the starter Objectives are complete and any delay has passed.

Step 2: check your CQP balance
When to use it: you don't know how many points you're missing.
- Open Ultimate Team.
- Select Play, then Core Modes.
- Select Champions.
Expected result: you see your Champions Qualification Points balance and what's left to earn.

Step 3: earn CQP in the right mode
When to use it: your CQP balance isn't going up.
- Play Rivals or Squad Battles. Other modes aren't listed by EA as sources of CQP.
- In Rivals, there's no need to push for Division 6 at all costs: every Division counts. A higher Division only makes you progress faster.
- In Squad Battles, check that your matches actually count: some matches no longer give Battle Points (see Squad Battles not giving Battle Points in EA SPORTS FC 27: causes).
- Go back to the Champions screen after a few matches to see how the balance changes.
Expected result: your CQP balance rises up to the qualification threshold shown in-game.

Step 4: play the Finals during the event
When to use it: you've qualified but can't play your matches.
- Champions Finals are played during the available Champions Finals event. Check your competition progress in-game to see the current event.
- The format has 15 matches: aim for as many wins as possible to progress towards the rewards.
- Rewards can include CQP, which help you qualify for your next entry.
Expected result: you play your 15 matches during the open event and see the related rewards in your progress.
Matchmaking: why you get these opponents
Champions matchmaking takes into account:
- your location, which determines the EA SPORTS FC data centre used;
- your current Form;
- your platform and cross-play settings.
Form starts at 0: each win adds 1, each loss takes away 1. With first five results of W/L/L/W/W, your Form is +1.
With cross-play enabled, you only play against the same platform generation: PS4 with Xbox One, or PS5 with Xbox Series X/S and PC. Cross-play doesn't apply to Nintendo Switch and Switch 2.
Spending your Champions Tokens
- Open the Store.
- Go to the Token Store, then open Champions.
You can find, among other things, Player Items with the Red Item design, Evolutions, Packs, Player Picks and accessories, including Celebrations. The rewards and their Token costs are shown in-game.
Be wary of any service offering to "play your Champions matches" or qualify for you in exchange for payment or your login details: sharing your EA Account puts your Club at risk.
