During the Ultimate Scream campaign in EA SPORTS FC 27 (Ultimate Team), presented by EA on October 23, 2026 and planned over two weeks, Objectives earn Ultimate Scream Tokens to spend in a dedicated store. If these Tokens seem missing, rejected or "stuck", the cause is often how Token Stores work: each Token can only be used in its own store, and only while that store is open. This guide helps you check your case before the store closes.
Problem
- Ultimate Scream Tokens show in your balance, but you can't find where to spend them.
- A store reward can't be bought with the Tokens you have.
- The Token balance doesn't go up after completing an Objective.
- After the event ends, the remaining Tokens are no longer of any use.
What to know first
- One Token, one store: EA says each Token Store only accepts its specific Token type. Ultimate Scream Tokens can't be exchanged for another campaign's Tokens.
- One extra week to spend: EA states that the Ultimate Scream Store stays open for an additional week after Ultimate Scream ends. After that, you can no longer earn Tokens for this campaign, and once the store expires you can no longer spend them.
- Gallery Tokens are a separate system: submitting a Set of five or more Ultimate Scream players in the Gallery earns Gallery Tokens. They are spent elsewhere: see Player rejected or old rating in the EA SPORTS FC 27 Gallery.
Step 1: check that the Tokens were actually claimed
When to use it: you completed an Objective, but the Token balance doesn't change.
Suggested solution
- Open the Ultimate Scream Objectives and check that the reward for the completed Objective has been claimed. According to EA, Tokens are usually added when you claim the reward.
- Check your Token balance in the top-right corner of the Ultimate Team screen.
- If the balance hasn't changed, exit and re-open the Store to refresh it, then relaunch the game if needed.
Expected result: the Token balance includes the claimed reward.
When to stop: EA says a missing reward can take up to 24 hours to appear. Wait for that period before contacting support.
Step 2: open the right Token Store
When to use it: you have Tokens, but no reward can be bought.
Suggested solution
- Go to Ultimate Team.
- Open the Store, then the Token Store tab.
- Choose the Ultimate Scream event.
- Select the reward you want, then Purchase.
What it does: you spend the Tokens in the only store that accepts them. According to EA, it includes Token Store Ultimate Scream Heroes, Pack rewards and Evolutions.
Expected result: the reward is purchased and appears in-game.
When to stop: if the purchase still fails in the right store, check that you have enough Tokens for that reward. Don't keep retrying the purchase.
Step 3: check the limits and Token sources
When to use it: your balance grows more slowly than expected.
Suggested solution
- Open the Token Summary screen. EA says some events limit how many Tokens can be earned within a set period, sometimes with a daily limit.
- Check the Token sources announced by EA for Ultimate Scream: themed Objectives, the two Flash Rush events each week and the Ghoul Fest event in the second week.
- Compare your progress with these sources. A mode that isn't on this list doesn't necessarily earn Ultimate Scream Tokens.
Expected result: you know whether a limit has been reached or whether the activity you played really earns Ultimate Scream Tokens.
When to stop: EA's Ultimate Scream article doesn't give a numerical cap for this campaign. Rely on the in-game Token Summary rather than figures from older campaigns.
Step 4: spend the Tokens before the store closes
When to use it: the event is ending, or has just ended.
Suggested solution
- Note the end date shown in-game for the Ultimate Scream Store.
- Spend your remaining Tokens during the additional week announced by EA.
- Once the store has closed, don't expect a conversion: EA says unspent Tokens may still appear in your token summary, but they can't be exchanged for Tokens from another campaign.
Expected result: the Tokens are spent before the store expires.
When to stop: after the store closes, no in-game action lets you spend these Tokens.
Special cases
- Reward purchased but missing: EA says items acquired in the Token Store should appear in-game right away. Otherwise, see Player or pack missing in Ultimate Team in EA SPORTS FC 27.
- Ultimate Scream Store Evolutions: EA announces two Evolutions (one upgrades a player's defensive stats, the other gives a PlayStyle+ to a wide player), plus Cosmetic Evolutions. Check the eligibility requirements before buying.
- Ultimate Scream cards and the November 24 transformation: this temporary one-week upgrade applies to Ultimate Scream Player Items, not to Tokens.
Final check
- ☐ Rewards for completed Objectives have been claimed.
- ☐ The balance has been refreshed (Store exited and re-opened, game relaunched if needed).
- ☐ Tokens are spent in the Ultimate Scream event store.
- ☐ The store's closing date is noted.
