Buying or sending Ultimate Team Coins in EA SPORTS FC 27: risk of penalties

Tutorial

Websites offer to sell you Ultimate Team™ Coins for EA SPORTS FC 27 (sometimes searched for as "FIFA 27"), or a friend wants to send you Coins through the Transfer Market? Under EA's rules, both practices are forbidden and can lead to penalties up to deletion of your Club or a ban. This guide explains what EA considers a violation, the risks for your account, the authorised ways to get Coins and FC Points, and what to do if you've already given your login details to a seller.

The rules quoted come from EA's Help articles shared across EA SPORTS FC, checked on 27 October 2026.

Problem

  • You're thinking of buying Coins from a website or third-party seller.
  • Someone close to you offers to transfer Coins by buying or selling a Player at an arranged price.
  • A seller asked for your login details.
  • Your account received a restriction after a Coin exchange.

What EA considers a violation

According to EA, Ultimate Team™ Coins can't be bought: you earn them by playing and selling items on the Transfer Market. Breaking the rules includes:

PracticeWhat EA says
Buying Coins from a third partyForbidden, as is promoting Coin buying or selling
Sending Coins to another player, even a friendA forbidden form of "Coin distribution"
Buying or selling an item well above or below its average price to transfer CoinsForbidden
Giving away Coins in exchange for promotions or favours outside the gameForbidden
Using multiple accounts to funnel Coins and items into oneForbidden
Bots, auto-buyers, transactions outside the game and official appsForbidden

Possible penalties

EA states it may take any or all of the following actions:

  • remove your account from the Leaderboards;
  • remove your Ultimate Team™ Coins or delete your Ultimate Team™ Club;
  • temporarily or permanently ban your account from FC online play (Ultimate Team™, Clubs and every mode connected to the servers);
  • ban your account from the current game, from all FC games, or from some or all EA games;
  • suspend your console from FC online modes for a period of time;
  • restrict your access to the Transfer Market, including in the Companion App.

EA highlights another risk: Coin sellers often ask for your login details, which can lead to stolen Coins, items or your entire account. Sharing your account information is itself against the rules.

What to do depending on your situation

Suggested solution

You gave your login details to a seller

  1. Follow EA's procedure to secure a hacked account without delay: reset your EA password, the password of the email address on the account and, on console, the password of your PlayStation Network, Xbox or Nintendo account.
  2. Turn on two-factor authentication.
  3. Never share your login details again, even with a "service" promising Coins.

Expected result: the third party's access to your account is cut off.

Suggested solution

Your account received a restriction

See the guide Feature blocked by a restriction in EA SPORTS FC 27: check and appeal: it explains how to read your penalty history and dispute a decision.

EA states that making a false claim to its Advisors is also against the rules: describe events as they happened.

Authorised ways according to EA

Ultimate Team™ Coins:

  • play matches in Ultimate Team™;
  • earn rewards in modes like Rivals and SBCs;
  • sell items at a fair price on the Transfer Market.

FC Points (premium currency, separate from Coins), only:

  • in the Ultimate Team™ Store;
  • in your platform's store;
  • with physical cards from retailers, redeemed for FC Points;
  • through the trusted retailers listed by EA.

For FC Points that weren't credited after a purchase, see FC Points missing after purchase in EA SPORTS FC 27 on PC: find them.

Final check

  • ☐ No buying or transferring of Coins with a third party or someone close to you.
  • ☐ Transfer Market sales are made at a fair price.
  • ☐ FC Points are bought only through the channels listed by EA.
  • ☐ Passwords reset and two-factor authentication on if login details were shared.
