Your EA account used for EA SPORTS FC 27 (often searched for as "FIFA 27") shows activity you don't recognize: password reset, an FC Points purchase you didn't make, players or coins gone from Ultimate Team. This guide follows the procedures published by EA Help, checked on October 27, 2026 and listed at the end of the topic. Work in order: first get control of the account back, then dispute the purchases.
Before you start
- Have the EA account's email address and access to that inbox.
- Note your gaming platform (PC with the EA app, Steam or Epic Games, PlayStation, Xbox) and where the suspicious purchase was made.
- Never share your password or verification codes: EA says it never asks for them.
Step 1: tell a security lock from a hack
When to use it: your password suddenly stops working.
Step 2: secure the EA account and linked accounts
When to use it: as soon as you have access to the account again.
Step 3: check and dispute an unknown purchase
When to use it: a charge or FC Points purchase you don't recognize.
Step 4: contact EA if access or content isn't recovered
When to use it: you still can't sign in, or Ultimate Team content is still missing.
Special cases
- Account penalty after the hack: if a feature is blocked, see Feature blocked by a restriction in EA SPORTS FC 27: check and appeal.
- Verification codes not received: see EA verification code not received for EA SPORTS FC 27: causes and solutions.
- You clicked a suspicious link: see E-mail d'hameçonnage (phishing) ouvert ou cliqué : que faire (guide in French).
- Website offering to "recover" the account for a fee: EA states it never charges for account recovery.
How to avoid this in the future
- Keep an EA password you use nowhere else: EA lists reusing the same password on several sites among the causes of unusual activity.
- Keep two-factor authentication on and add a secondary email address.
- Don't sign in to your EA account on shared devices.
Final check
- ☐ You're signed in with a new, unique password.
- ☐ Two-factor authentication is on and unknown devices are removed.
- ☐ The email and console account passwords have been changed.
- ☐ Each suspicious purchase is disputed with the right party.
