Shark Card GTA$ missing in GTA Online on PC: causes and solutions

Tutorial

You bought a Shark Card for GTA Online on PC and the payment went through, but your Maze Bank balance has not changed, or has only partly changed. Rockstar Games documents two main causes: a cap on GTA$ from Shark Cards, and a purchase that needs to be reported to support with proof. This guide follows the Rockstar Games support articles listed at the end of the topic, checked on October 27, 2026.

Problem

  • The Shark Card purchase shows in the platform history (Rockstar Games Launcher, Steam, Epic Games Store), but the GTA$ have not arrived.
  • Only part of the GTA$ was credited after buying several cards.
  • You do not know which proof of purchase to give Rockstar Games support.

What Rockstar Games says

PointRule stated by Rockstar Games
CapA player can hold at most GTA$50,000,000 obtained from Shark Card purchases at one time
Amount above the capIt is credited later, once you have spent enough GTA$
PC editionsGTA$ from a Shark Card bought on PC go to the Maze Bank account of both the Legacy and Enhanced versions
Purchase not foundRequest to Rockstar Games support with the proof of purchase that matches the platform

Rockstar Games gives this example: with 6 Megalodon cards (GTA$10,000,000 each), GTA$50,000,000 is credited; the remaining GTA$10,000,000 arrives after you spend GTA$10,000,000.

Prerequisites

  • Be signed in to GTA Online with the Rockstar Games account used for the purchase.
  • Have access to the platform purchase history (Rockstar Games Launcher, Steam or Epic Games Store).
  • Know which card was bought (its name and GTA$ amount).

Step 1: check whether the GTA$50,000,000 cap is reached

When to use it: you bought several Shark Cards, or already held a lot of GTA$ from cards, and only part was credited.

Suggested solution

  1. Add up the amounts of the Shark Cards bought recently.
  2. Compare that total with the GTA$50,000,000 cap stated by Rockstar Games.
  3. If the total is above the cap, spend GTA$ in game: the amount on hold is paid once you have spent enough.

Expected result: the rest of the GTA$ appears in the Maze Bank account after your spending, without contacting support.

Step 2: check the account and the game edition

When to use it: the cap is not the cause and no GTA$ arrived.

Suggested solution

  1. Check that you are signed in to the same Rockstar Games account (and the same Steam or Epic Games account) as the one used for the purchase.
  2. On PC, you buy in game (path given by Rockstar Games: GTA Online menu > Store > Purchase Shark Cards) or from the Rockstar Games Launcher store. GTA+ members see Members-Only Shark Cards.
  3. Rockstar Games states that GTA$ from a Shark Card bought on PC go to the Maze Bank accounts of both GTA V Legacy and GTA V Enhanced. If your character does not appear in GTA V Enhanced, see GTA Online character missing from GTA V Enhanced on PC: migrate your profile.
  4. If GTA Online shows an online services error, fix it first: Rockstar Games Online Services unavailable in GTA Online on PC: solutions.

Expected result: once on the right account and connected to online services, the Maze Bank balance reflects the purchase.

Step 3: prepare the proof of purchase Rockstar Games asks for

When to use it: the GTA$ are still missing and you need to contact support.

Suggested solution

  1. Purchase through the Rockstar Store, Rockstar Games Launcher or Epic Games: note the platform ID, your Rockstar Games or Epic Games account ID and the Shark Card type.
  2. Purchase through Steam: open the Steam purchase history (path given by Rockstar Games: Steam > Settings > Account > View Account Details > View Purchase History). Take a clear screenshot or video showing your SteamID, the date, the item name, the transaction type and the total.
  3. Other PC purchase: take a full screenshot of the receipt email.
  4. Rockstar Games states that unclear submissions are not accepted. A video that is too large can be shared as an unlisted YouTube link.

Expected result: you have clear proof that matches what Rockstar Games asks for on your platform.

Step 4: open a request with Rockstar Games support

When to use it: the previous steps did not help.

Suggested solution

  1. Open Rockstar Games support for GTA V and sign in with your Rockstar Games account.
  2. Click "Submit a Request", choose Grand Theft Auto V, then "In-game purchase support" and "Missing in-game item".
  3. Attach the proof prepared in step 3 and state the platform, the game edition (Legacy or Enhanced) and the card bought.

Expected result: the request is logged with all the useful information, which avoids an extra exchange with support.

Final check

  • ☐ The total of Shark Cards bought does not exceed GTA$50,000,000, or you have spent enough GTA$.
  • ☐ You are signed in to the Rockstar Games account used for the purchase.
  • ☐ GTA Online is connected to online services.
  • ☐ The proof of purchase is clear and matches your platform.
  • ☐ The "Missing in-game item" request has been sent if the GTA$ are still missing.
