You want to change the name other players see in EA SPORTS FC 27 (often searched for as "FIFA 27"), but the change is refused or you can't find where to make it. This name is your EA ID. Step 1: change the ID from your EA account
When to use it: you haven't changed your EA ID in the last 30 days.
Suggested solution
- Open the EA Account information page and sign in.
- Select Edit next to EA ID.
- If EA asks, select Send code, choose your verification option and enter the code you receive.
- Enter the new ID and select Save.
What to look for: an error message appears if the ID is already taken or the safety filter deems it inappropriate.
Expected result: the new ID shows under Account information.
Rollback: you can change it again, but only after 30 days. Choose carefully.
Step 2: fix a refused ID
When to use it: saving fails with an error message.

- Already taken: add or change a few characters, then try again.
- Deemed inappropriate: remove words or combinations of special characters that may be filtered.
- Personal information: don't use your name or any other identifying detail, which EA's rules forbid.

Step 3: change blocked by the 30-day limit
When to use it: you already changed your EA ID recently.
Suggested solution
- EA limits EA ID changes to once every 30 days, for account security.
- Wait until that period ends, then repeat step 1.

Step 4: minor's account
When to use it: the account belongs to a player under 18.
Suggested solution
- EA treats accounts of under-18s as child accounts.
- Some details are then changed by the parent, according to EA's article Update your EA Account info and settings, which links to the parental procedure.
- EA also states restrictions may apply depending on your country's laws.
Expected result: the parent makes the change from their own access.
Special cases
- Changing the account email address: same limit of once every 30 days. EA says, however, that you can switch back without restriction to an email address previously associated with the account.
