GTA Online's Agents of Sabotage update (December 10, 2024) adds The FIB Files, a series of multi-part scores carried out with former FIB agent Jodi Marshall and Pavel. These missions are not started from a usual contact: you need to own the Darnell Bros Garment Factory and have the Darnell Inc. app on the in-game phone. This guide explains how to check both conditions.
Problem
- You cannot find the FIB Files (The Brute Force File, The Black Box File, The Fine Art File, The Project Breakaway File).
- You do not see the Darnell Inc. app on your iFruit phone.
- A "Priority File" bonus or a weekly challenge on the FIB Files does not apply to you.
- The Bureau Tech upgrades for the Terrorbyte do not appear.
What to know before acting
- The Garment Factory is required: Rockstar states that the FIB Files become available once you have bought the Darnell Bros Garment Factory, made introductions with Jodi Marshall, toured the factory and installed the Darnell Inc. app.
- PC Legacy and PC Enhanced: Rockstar's announcements about the FIB Files are published for both PC versions of GTA V (Legacy and Enhanced).
- In-game names: the official sources read are in English (Garment Factory, FIB Files, Priority File, Darnell Inc.). Labels in other language versions of the game may differ.
Step 1: buy the Darnell Bros Garment Factory
When to use it: you do not own this property yet.
Suggested solution
- Answer Pavel's call if you receive it: Rockstar states that this is the starting point.
- Buy the Garment Factory by going to it in East Los Santos, or from the Maze Bank Foreclosures website on the in-game computer or phone. Rockstar mentions both ways.
- Enter the factory and follow the introductions with Jodi Marshall, then the tour of the premises.
Expected result: the Garment Factory appears on your map and the introductions with Jodi start.
Step 2: find the Darnell Inc. app
When to use it: you own the factory, but you see no way into the FIB Files.
Suggested solution
- Open the in-game iFruit phone.
- Look for the Darnell Inc. icon. Rockstar specifies that the app adds an icon to the phone's home screen and that the Quick Join and Settings shortcuts may then be found on the second page of apps.
- Open Darnell Inc. and choose a file (FIB File).
Expected result: the list of FIB Files is displayed and you can start the preparations for a file.
When to stop: if the icon does not appear even though the introductions and the tour are complete, switch sessions and come back once. If nothing changes, contact Rockstar Support with your platform and what you see in the factory.
Step 3: complete the preps and the finale
When to use it: a file is started, but you do not know how to finish it.
Suggested solution
- Complete the file's preparations, then its finale. Rockstar describes four multi-stage scores: an IAA-protected aircraft, military tech under Fort Zancudo, a stolen artwork and Maze Bank's secret slush fund.
- Optional mission challenges award extra GTA$ and Career Progress rewards.
- According to Rockstar, playing with a crew helps grab the loot faster and stops one player from carrying too much.
Expected result: the finale pays out GTA$ and decorative items for your desk in the Garment Factory.
