The Auto Shop Robbery Contracts (offered by KDJ and Sessanta) arrived with GTA Online's Los Santos Tuners update (July 2021). They are not started from the phone like a contact mission: you need to own an Auto Shop and use the whiteboard in that property. This guide helps you find the missing step.
Problem
- KDJ or Sessanta never offer you a job.
- You own an Auto Shop, but you cannot find where to start a contract.
- An event bonus on Auto Shop contracts does not apply to you.
- You are mixing up Robbery Contracts with Client Jobs or Exotic Exports.
What to know before acting
- An Auto Shop is required: according to Rockstar, "all you need" to access KDJ and Sessanta's network is an Auto Shop.
- Three different activities: Robbery Contracts (Planning Works, then a finale), Auto Shop Client Jobs (modify a client's vehicle, then deliver it) and Exotic Exports (a daily list of vehicles to find). This guide mainly covers contracts, with a reminder about the other two.
- Solo or in a group: Rockstar states that contracts can be played solo or with up to three other players.
- In-game names: the official sources read are in English (Auto Shop, Robbery Contracts, Maze Bank Foreclosures, LS Car Meet). Labels in other language versions of the game may differ.
Step 1: buy an Auto Shop
When to use it: you do not own an Auto Shop yet.
Suggested solution
- Go to the LS Car Meet (the Cypress Flats warehouse run by Mimi). Rockstar says this is where you meet KDJ and Sessanta, who explain how to invest in an Auto Shop.
- Then open the Maze Bank Foreclosures website on the in-game phone or computer: this is where Rockstar places the Auto Shop purchase.
- Choose a location and buy the property. Upgrades (a second car lift, drivers for deliveries, living quarters, etc.) are optional for launching a contract.
- Enter your Auto Shop.
Expected result: the Auto Shop appears on your map and you can enter it.
LS Car Meet membership and access are covered in the guide Drift Tuning option missing in GTA Online. The announcements read do not say whether membership is required to buy the Auto Shop.
Step 2: start a Robbery Contract
When to use it: you own an Auto Shop, but no contract is in progress.
Suggested solution
- In the Auto Shop, go to the whiteboard outside the office. Rockstar states that Robbery Contracts are selected there (banks, government agencies and other targets; the launch announcement mentions the IAA and Merryweather).
- Choose a contract. Each contract consists of Planning Works followed by a finale.
- Complete the required Planning Works before starting the finale.
- To play with others, invite up to three other players.
Expected result: the chosen contract shows its Planning Works, then the finale becomes available once they are done.
When to stop: if the whiteboard offers no contract even though you own the property, leave the session and come back once. If nothing changes, contact Rockstar Support with your platform and what the whiteboard shows.
Rockstar recommends a well-prepared personal vehicle for these missions: it "will be an invaluable asset". This advice is not a launch requirement.
Step 3: do not confuse contracts with the other Auto Shop activities
When to use it: you are looking for a client job or an export rather than a robbery.
Suggested solution
- Auto Shop Client Jobs: clients request vehicle upgrades; Rockstar says you can follow their specs or go with your own configuration, then deliver the vehicle. A second car lift increases the capacity of this activity.
- Exotic Exports: check the blackboard in the Auto Shop, which shows the daily list of wanted vehicles, then look for those vehicles in Freemode.
- LS Car Meet reputation: since The Contract (December 2021), Auto Shop Contracts, Customer Deliveries and Exotic Exports also award LS Car Meet reputation.
Expected result: you know which activity matches your goal and where to start it.
Special cases
- Event bonuses: the double or triple payouts and Auto Shop discounts mentioned by Rockstar (2023, January 2026, etc.) all have end dates. Some January 2026 bonuses on finales were reserved for GTA+ members. Check the current week's announcement before counting on a bonus.
- Platform: the announcements cited were published on the Steam pages of GTA V Legacy and, for the most recent ones, GTA V Enhanced. They do not describe any difference in contract availability between platforms.
Final check
- ☐ You own an Auto Shop bought on Maze Bank Foreclosures.
- ☐ The whiteboard near the Auto Shop office offers contracts.
- ☐ The chosen contract's Planning Works are done before the finale.
- ☐ You can tell contracts, Client Jobs and Exotic Exports apart.
