As of October 13, 2026, Windows 11 version 24H2 Home and Pro no longer get monthly updates. Version 23H2 Enterprise and Education reach end of updates on November 10, 2026. Official Microsoft dates and how to move to 25H2 or 26H2.
Consulted November 5, 2026 (Europe/Paris). Microsoft’s Windows release-health pages list which Windows 11 versions and editions still receive updates. Two dates matter right now for many PCs: version 24H2 Home and Pro already reached end of updates on October 13, 2026, and version 23H2 Enterprise and Education editions reach end of updates on November 10, 2026.
This article restates the official servicing table and the 24H2 status notice. It is not a security advisory for a specific CVE, and upgrade availability still depends on hardware eligibility and rollout.
Quick check: which version and edition you run
- Open Settings > System > About (or run winver).
- Note Windows specifications → Version (for example 23H2, 24H2, 25H2, 26H2) and Edition (Home, Pro, Enterprise, Education…).
- Compare with the table below. Home/Pro-family editions and Enterprise/Education editions often have different end dates for the same version number.

What “end of updates” means for 24H2 Home/Pro
Microsoft’s 24H2 status page (current status as of October 28, 2026) states that as of October 13, 2026, Windows 11 version 24H2 Home and Pro editions have reached end of updates. Those devices no longer receive monthly security and non-security preview updates. Microsoft recommends updating to Windows 11 version 26H2 or 25H2.
24H2 Enterprise and Education remain supported for monthly security updates until October 12, 2027. The September 22, 2026 non-security preview was described as the final non-security preview for those editions.
November 10, 2026: 23H2 Enterprise / Education
On the release-information table, 23H2 Enterprise, Education, IoT Enterprise, and Enterprise multi-session editions list end of updates on 2026-11-10. After that date those editions leave the supported servicing window listed by Microsoft. Organizations still on 23H2 should plan a move to a supported version (typically 25H2 or 26H2 when offered) before or as that date passes.
How to look for 25H2 or 26H2
Per the 24H2 status notice, the 26H2 phased rollout has reached full availability for devices running 25H2 and 24H2:
- Open Settings > Windows Update.
- Optionally turn on Get the latest updates as soon as they’re available.
- Select Check for updates. If 26H2 (or 25H2) is offered, choose Download & install and allow the restart.
If the feature update is not offered, eligibility, storage, drivers, or organization policy may block it. TricknFix’s community topic on 26H2 not appearing in Windows Update covers troubleshooting separately from this lifecycle summary.
