[Rumor] GTA VI reviews on November 18: what NateTheHate and Insider Gaming say — and what Rockstar has not announced

[Rumor] — not an official announcement. On 26 October 2026, industry insider NateTheHate posted that Rockstar Games had begun distributing Grand Theft Auto VI review code to media outlets and that the review embargo is November 18 — one day before the 19 November 2026 console launch. The same day, Insider Gaming (Andrew Highton) wrote that it could independently verify those reports. Rockstar and Take-Two have still published no official review schedule, embargo time or press program details.
What the reports claim
- Embargo date: November 18, 2026 (day before launch).
- Review codes: NateTheHate said codes had begun going out around late October 2026, which would leave roughly three to four weeks of playtime before that date.
- Second source: Insider Gaming states it can independently verify the November 18 date; it does not describe the verification method in the article.
- No time of day: neither NateTheHate’s quoted post nor Insider Gaming’s piece names a clock time for when reviews may go live. Separate unverified claims about a morning ET window exist elsewhere; they are not treated as confirmed here.
