[Rumor] GTA VI on PC in Q1 2027: what GamesBeat reports — and what Rockstar has not announced
GamesBeat (13 Oct 2026) cites four anonymous industry sources saying Rockstar plans a PC version of GTA VI in Q1 2027. Rockstar did not comment. No official PC date, storefront or specs exist; consoles stay Nov 19 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
[Rumor] — not an official announcement. On 13 October 2026 (updated 14 October), GamesBeat reported that Rockstar Games plans to release Grand Theft Auto VI on PC in the first quarter of 2027, citing four industry sources familiar with the studio’s plans who asked not to be named. A Rockstar representative did not respond to GamesBeat’s request for comment. Rockstar and Take-Two have still published no PC date, storefront, price or system requirements.
What GamesBeat reports
- Window: PC version “within the first three months of 2027” (Q1 2027).
- Basis: four anonymous industry sources; Rockstar gave no on-record reply in that article.
- Gap vs consoles: GamesBeat notes that would be only a few months after the 19 November 2026 console launch — much shorter than GTA V’s wait (console Sept 2013 → PC April 2015).
- Quality bar: the piece stresses a PC build would still need to clear the same quality bar as consoles before shipping.
What is officially known (and what is not)
- Official platforms for launch: PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on 19 November 2026 (midnight local unlock per Rockstar Support; pre-load from 10 November).
- PC: no PC edition on Rockstar’s GTA VI product page as of this article’s check. Treat any “GTA VI PC download” offer as unverified / likely malicious until Rockstar announces one.
- Related chatter (also not Rockstar): GamesBeat relays Twitch CEO Dan Clancy telling Bloomberg that GTA VI online would launch “next year” — that is a third-party comment, not a Rockstar schedule for PC or Online.
