Riot’s patch 26.22 (notes dated November 3, 2026) reworks Mel’s W, starts the TFT standalone client on November 4, and adjusts Summoner’s Rift plus ARAM Mayhem.

Riot Games published the League of Legends patch 26.22 notes (timestamp November 3, 2026 on the official page). The practical headlines for players are Mel’s midscope, the start of the Teamfight Tactics standalone client on November 4, 2026, and a wide Summoner’s Rift / ARAM Mayhem balance pass. This is not a TricknFix ranked ladder test.

TFT moves to its own client

Patch 26.22 is described as larger than usual because TFT is leaving the shared League client. According to Riot:
  • The TFT standalone client starts on November 4, 2026.
  • Players should still be able to switch between League of Legends and TFT.
  • Existing TFT cosmetics remain usable in League for now.
  • The first TFT-only Little Legends batch arrives December 1; December 15 marks fuller separation for TFT cosmetics such as emotes and icons.
  • A future patch will add an option to opt out of TFT downloads inside League patches; 26.22 itself is a larger download to prepare that path.
Wrong notes for TFT balance belong on the TFT patch-notes page Riot links from this article.

Mel midscope (high level)

Riot describes a Mel midscope that moves power from early game toward scaling. In summary from the official notes:
  • Base stats are retuned (lower starting health/mana/AD, stronger growth on several stats).
  • Q – Radiant Volley is restructured (first-hit and multi-hit damage formulas change; cooldown refund when hitting a champion; lower mana cost).
  • W – Rebuttal is reworked into an expanding nova that destroys enemy projectiles, grants a shield and move speed, then retaliates with damage — it no longer reflects effects the way the previous W did.
  • E and R receive root/slow/cooldown adjustments aimed at later stacking of Mel’s passive.
Full numeric tables live on Riot’s patch page; do not treat this summary as a complete ability guide.

Other Summoner’s Rift notes (selection)

Riot also lists, among others:
  • Buffs touching champions such as Aurelion Sol, Corki, Kayle, Maokai, Naafiri, Rumble, Shen, Smolder, Viktor and Zaahen.
  • Nerfs or adjustments for Locke, Thresh, Yasuo and Doran’s Bow (AD 8 → 7).
  • Overlord’s Bloodmail AD and Retribution retune.
  • ARAM: Mayhem updates for Journey to Stardom, augment tuning, return of Butcher’s Bridge and Koeshin’s Crossing, plus bugfixes.
  • Classic mode content (historical champion variants) and Classic Pass token-rate corrections are documented separately in the same notes — they are not the default Summoner’s Rift experience.
Skins and chromas scheduled for the patch are listed at the end of Riot’s article.

What this patch does not establish

These notes do not invent a Worlds tournament outcome, a guaranteed win-rate shift after Mel’s midscope, or a date when TFT downloads can already be fully disabled inside League. Re-check the live client and Riot’s TFT communications if your launcher behaviour differs after November 4.
