Call of Duty Season 1: Warzone Agent treated as unauthorized software — detection, Multiplayer lockout, bans
Activision’s Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 patch notes (November 5, 2026) classify Warzone Agent as unauthorized lobby-shopping software and detail Season 1 enforcement.
Activision’s Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 patch notes (page available November 5, 2026) include a dedicated Unauthorized Third-Party Software section about Warzone Agent. This article covers that enforcement only. Broader Season 1 maps, Legacy weapons and last-gen end-of-play are already documented elsewhere on TricknFix.
Season 1 for Warzone is scheduled to go live at 0000 (midnight) ET on November 6, 2026 (2100 PT on November 5), according to Activision’s Season 1 Warzone overview.
How Activision describes Warzone Agent
In the Season 1 patch notes, Activision states that Warzone Agent is an unauthorized, paid third-party application that enables “lobby shopping”: assessing lobby skill levels during pre-match warm-ups and avoiding more competitive matches in favour of easier ones.
Activision adds that the tool does not provide traditional cheating features such as aimbots or wallhacks, but that it still creates an unfair advantage, undermines competitive integrity and violates the Terms of Use.
Enforcement beginning with Season 1
Activision lists these measures beginning with Season 1:
- Software detection — players who try to launch or access Warzone while Warzone Agent is running receive a notification telling them to close the unauthorized software.
- Access restrictions — players who do not close it are prevented from accessing Multiplayer modes. Campaign access remains unaffected.
- Further enforcement — players who try to circumvent the restrictions and keep using the software may face temporary or permanent account and/or hardware bans.
A closing note in the same section says Activision will keep acting against tools and behaviours that compromise Warzone’s integrity, even when those tools do not look like traditional cheats.
What this article does not do
- It does not explain how to install, configure or bypass Warzone Agent.
- It does not claim every lobby tool is covered by the same wording — only what Activision published about Warzone Agent.
- It does not replace the full Season 1 gameplay patch notes (maps, weapons, movement, modes).
- Multiplayer lockout wording in the notes is tied to failing to close the software after the notification; Campaign is explicitly left available in that bullet.
If your client shows a different message after Season 1 launches, keep a screenshot of the exact prompt and re-check Activision’s live patch notes / support pages rather than inventing an error code here.
