You joined the official Rockstar Games Discord server to get a GTA Online reward (vehicle, outfit, GTA$…), but nothing shows up in the game. In most cases one of Rockstar's conditions is missing: accounts not linked, reward not claimed in the right channel, Online tutorial not completed, or simply the delivery delay. This guide follows Rockstar Games' official FAQ on Discord rewards.
Problem
- The reward announced on the Rockstar Games Discord server does not arrive in GTA Online.
- You are not sure your Discord account is linked to your Rockstar Games account.
- The reward went to a different Rockstar Games account than the one you play with.
What to know first
According to Rockstar Games' Discord rewards FAQ:
- You must be a member of the official Rockstar Games Discord server and have linked your Discord account to your Rockstar Games account.
- For GTA Online promotions, you need a character that has completed the Online tutorial.
- The reward is not added automatically: you must claim it by following the instructions posted in the #discord-rewards channel.
- Delivery happens within 72 hours of logging in to the game.
- Platforms listed by Rockstar: PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Xbox app on PC, Rockstar Games Launcher, Steam Launcher and Epic Games Launcher. Any eligible character on a supported platform connected to the linked Rockstar Games account can use it.
- One reward per account: a reward claimed on the wrong Rockstar Games account is not reissued.
Step 1: check that the accounts are linked
When to use it: always first. Without a link, no reward can be granted.
Suggested solution
- Sign in on rockstargames.com with the Rockstar Games account you use in GTA Online.
- Open the Account Settings Connections page: Rockstar Games Linked Accounts, making sure you are signed in to the Rockstar Games account you want to link.
- If Discord is not shown as linked, select Link next to Discord, sign in to your Discord account on the Discord site that opens, then select Authorize.
- Pick the visibility setting offered ("Account visibility for Discord"), then confirm with Continue.
Expected result: Discord appears in your Rockstar Games account's linked accounts.
Step 2: join the server and claim the reward
When to use it: the accounts are linked, but you have not done anything on the Discord server or are unsure you claimed the offer.
Suggested solution
- Join the official server via discord.gg/rockstargames with the same Discord account you linked in step 1.
- Open the #discord-rewards channel.
- Follow the current offer's instructions exactly (the claiming method can change from one promotion to another).
- Check that the offer is still active: an ended promotion can no longer be claimed.
Expected result: the offer is claimed from the right Discord account, which is linked to the right Rockstar Games account.
Step 3: log in to GTA Online and allow 72 hours
When to use it: the reward is claimed, but nothing is visible yet.
Suggested solution
- Launch GTA Online on a platform connected to your Rockstar Games account.
- Play with a character that has completed the Online tutorial. If your character is new, finish the tutorial first.
- Wait up to 72 hours after that login: Rockstar does not promise instant delivery.
- Log in again and check where the offer says the item goes (garage, wardrobe, GTA$ balance…).
Expected result: the reward appears within 72 hours of logging in.
Step 4: reward linked to the wrong Rockstar Games account
When to use it: your Discord is linked to another Rockstar Games account (old account, a relative's account, secondary account).
Suggested solution
- If the reward has not been claimed yet: unlink Discord from the wrong Rockstar Games account on the Linked Accounts page (full procedure in Rockstar's unlinking article, see Sources), then link it to the right account as in step 1. Then claim the offer.
- If it was already claimed on the wrong account: Rockstar states that only one reward is granted per account and that a reward claimed on the wrong account is not reissued.
Expected result: future Discord rewards go to the account you actually play with.
Step 5: contact Rockstar Support after 72 hours
When to use it: every condition is met, the offer was claimed, and nothing arrived more than 72 hours after you logged in to the game.
Suggested solution
- Open the Rockstar Games Support request form.
- Choose the game and the request type matching a missing reward.
- Give your platform, the name of the Discord offer, the claim date and the date you logged in to the game.
Expected result: support reviews your account and replies through a ticket.
Special cases
- Several platforms: the reward can be used by any eligible character on a supported platform connected to your Rockstar Games account. If your console is not connected to that account, the reward will not show up there.
- PC: Legacy or Enhanced: the FAQ does not cover this distinction. Check the offer's announcement in #discord-rewards for the versions concerned.

- Never share your Rockstar Games or Discord credentials with a "bot" or website promising rewards: only the instructions in the official #discord-rewards channel count.
Final check
- ☐ Discord appears in the linked accounts of the right Rockstar Games account.
- ☐ The same Discord account is a member of the official Rockstar Games server.
- ☐ The offer was claimed in #discord-rewards while it was valid.
- ☐ The character you use has completed the GTA Online tutorial.
- ☐ 72 hours have passed since you logged in to the game.
