GTA Online's bounty hunting targets (Bounty Targets), added with the Bottom Dollar Bounties update (June 2024), require you to own a Bail Office (the Bottom Dollar Bail Enforcement office) and to pick your targets on its computer. This guide helps you check what is missing when no bounty is available, when the Most Wanted target has disappeared or when a bounty pays less than expected.
What to know first
- The office is mandatory: targets are listed on the office's Bail Enforcement System computer.
- Two types of targets: Rockstar says the computer offers three Standard Targets and one Most Wanted Target.
- Alive is worth more: according to Rockstar, both Standard and Most Wanted Targets are considerably more valuable when brought back alive.
- In-game names: the official sources read are in English (Bail Office, Bail Enforcement System, Standard Target, Most Wanted Target, Agent Upgrades). Labels in other game languages may differ.
Step 1: get a Bail Office
When to use it: no bounty is available, or you don't own an office yet.
Expected result: you own a Bail Office with its Bail Enforcement System computer.
When to stop: if Maze Bank Foreclosures doesn't offer any Bail Office, check that the game is up to date, then contact Rockstar Support.
Step 2: pick a target on the computer
When to use it: you own the office, but don't know where to launch a bounty.
Expected result: the bounty starts and the target is indicated.
Step 3: understand the Most Wanted target limit
When to use it: the Most Wanted target is no longer offered.
Expected result: a new Most Wanted target is offered the following day.
When to stop: if it stays missing for several days although you haven't completed any, note the dates and contact Rockstar Support.
Step 4: bring the target back alive for the best bounty
When to use it: a bounty paid less than expected.
What it does: the bounty depends on the target's condition on delivery.
Expected result: the next bounties, brought back alive, pay more.
Special cases
- Office staff: Agent Upgrades are bought on Maze Bank Foreclosures. Rockstar says you then need to visit them at their desks inside your Bail Office to send them out and earn the corresponding income.
- Madrazo Hits: Rockstar reserves them for Bail Office owners, once per day, via the purple target icon on the map.
- October 2026 bonus: Rockstar announces doubled GTA$ and RP on Standard and Most Wanted Bail Office Targets throughout October. Weekly Challenges have specific dates: check the current week in the announcement before counting on a reward.
- Delayed challenge payouts: for some challenges, Rockstar specifies that the bonus is delivered within a delay (for example "within 72 hours"). Re-read the event announcement before concluding it was missed.
