In EA SPORTS FC 27 Manager Career (often searched for as "FIFA 27"), a player asks to leave even though his morale is good or he plays regularly, or transfer requests keep piling up in your squad. EA has acknowledged several problems of this kind since launch: some are fixed by updates and another is still being fixed. This guide helps you tell these cases apart and limit the damage to your save.

- A player complains about his playtime even though he plays as much as expected.
- Transfer requests are too frequent, and every player enquired about gets a flood of competing offers.
What to know first
According to EA's official posts about EA SPORTS FC 27:
- Title Update v1.0.3: fixed a bug where, in Manager Career, players could secretly request a transfer without any prior message or complaint, even with high morale.
- Title Update v1.0.4: negotiation fixes (CPU counteroffers incorrectly exceeding its original demands) and a fix for being unable to sign Free Agents when the transfer market was disabled or outside an active transfer window.
- EA's launch feedback update: EA states that the improvements in v1.0.3 and v1.0.4 address the excessive number of transfer requests and the excessive number of competing offers.
- v1.1 Pitch Notes (Title Update v1.1 announced for October 27, 2026): EA says it is looking into an issue where players sometimes request transfers due to a lack of playtime even when their playtime expectations are being met. A fix is being tested and is aimed at an upcoming update. EA does not say whether it is part of v1.1.
- EA has published no official way to cancel a transfer request that has already been made: this guide does not invent one.
Step 1: install the latest game update
When to use it: always first, especially if automatic updates are turned off.
Suggested solution
- Fully close EA SPORTS FC 27.
- Run the update from your platform (EA app, Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation or Xbox) and let it finish.
- Relaunch the game and load your Career save.
Expected result: the v1.0.3 and v1.0.4 fixes (then v1.1 from October 27, 2026) are applied. "Secret" requests with no prior complaint should no longer appear.
Step 2: identify the type of request
When to use it: after updating, a transfer request still catches you off guard.
Suggested solution
- Re-read your in-game Career inbox messages: did the player complain before asking to leave?
- No complaint, high morale: this is the bug fixed in v1.0.3. Make sure the game is up to date (step 1).
- Playtime complaint while he plays as much as expected: this is the issue EA says it is still looking into (fix in testing). Go to step 3.
- Playtime complaint while he rarely plays: the request may be normal. EA says it is reviewing the balance between players' expectations and squad rotation; meanwhile, go to step 3.
Expected result: you know whether you are facing a fixed bug, a known issue or normal game behaviour.
Step 3: limit the impact on your squad
When to use it: the request comes from a (real or supposed) lack of playtime.
Suggested solution
- Check the role planned for the player in your squad and compare it with his recent starts.
- If he is a key player, give him more playtime over the next matches and keep an eye on his morale.
- If you would rather let him go, use the transfer window to negotiate a sale instead of letting him leave at the end of his contract.
- To replace him, Free Agents can be signed again even with the transfer market disabled or outside a transfer window since v1.0.4.
Expected result: the player is either back in the rotation or sold on good terms, without derailing your season.
Step 4: report the problem to EA
When to use it: the game is up to date and a player who plays as much as expected keeps requesting a transfer.
Suggested solution
- Check the EA SPORTS FC issue tracker to see whether the problem is already listed.
- Read the notes for each new update on the official EA SPORTS FC 27 site: EA announces fixes there.
- If needed, contact EA Help with your platform, your Career's current season and the number of matches played by the player concerned.
Expected result: you know when the fix is released, and EA is aware of your case.
Special cases
- New v1.1 settings: EA adds settings to toggle or adjust the frequency of Unexpected Events and Press Conferences, both when creating a Career and in existing saves. EA does not say these settings affect transfer requests: do not rely on them to fix this problem.
- Negotiations that seem inconsistent: v1.1 adds distinct negotiation responses explaining why a club or player rejected your offer, adjusts wages to account for performance bonuses, and stops veterans from disproportionately demanding crucial roles.

Final check
- ☐ The game is up to date (v1.0.4 at least, v1.1 from October 27, 2026).
- ☐ You checked whether the player complained before his request.
