GTA Online's original heists (The Fleeca Job, The Prison Break, The Humane Labs Raid, Series A Funding and The Pacific Standard Job) date back to March 2015, but Rockstar regularly brings them back with bonuses. They do not depend on newer properties (Arcade, Kosatka, Mansion…): you need a High-End Apartment with its planning room. This guide helps you check what is blocking you.
What to know before acting
- A High-End Apartment is required: Rockstar states that you need a High-End Apartment "with the necessary planning room" to start your heist career.
- Rank: in 2015, Rockstar mentioned Rank 12 as required for heists. This requirement is not repeated in the recent announcements read: check your rank if nothing appears, without treating this figure as guaranteed today.
- Co-op play: Rockstar presented heists as a 4-player co-op experience and reminds players that they require communication and coordination. The number of players each heist requires is shown in game.
- In-game names: the official sources read are in English (High-End Apartment, Dynasty 8, Set-Up Missions, Finale). Labels in other language versions of the game may differ.
Step 1: check or buy a High-End Apartment
When to use it: you are not sure your home qualifies, or you do not have one.
Expected result: you own a High-End Apartment and can enter it.
Step 2: get Lester's offer and start The Fleeca Job
When to use it: the apartment is purchased, but no heist is offered.
Expected result: the heist appears in the planning room and you can invite your crew.
When to stop: if nothing appears even though the apartment is a High-End Apartment and your rank is high enough, leave the session and come back once. If nothing changes, contact Rockstar Support with your platform, your rank and the type of apartment you own.
Step 3: move on to the other original heists
When to use it: The Fleeca Job is available and you are looking for what comes next.
Expected result: the next heist is offered after the previous one.
Special cases
- Do not confuse them with newer heists: The Diamond Casino Heist (Arcade), The Cayo Perico Heist (Kosatka submarine) and The Kortz Center Heist (Mansion and Art Studio) have their own properties. See for example Kortz Center Heist won't launch in GTA Online.
- Elite Challenges: on some Finales, Rockstar offers extra challenges (time, enemy count, no one dies) with additional rewards.
- Event bonuses: double payouts on Finales, apartment discounts and Weekly Challenges (November 2024, April 2025, etc.) have end dates. Check the current week's announcement.
Final check
- ☐ You own a High-End Apartment with a planning room bought on Dynasty 8.
- ☐ Your rank has been checked.
- ☐ Lester has offered you The Fleeca Job, or you triggered his introduction from the Pause menu map.
- ☐ A crew is assembled for the Finale.
