An opponent in EA SPORTS FC 27 (often searched for as "FIFA 27") has an offensive club name, is harassing you through messages or seems to be cheating, and you can't find how to report them. EA offers several channels. The right one depends on what you're reporting and where it happened. This guide follows the procedures published by EA Help, PlayStation and Xbox, checked on October 27, 2026 and listed at the end of the topic.
Before you start
- Note the game mode (Ultimate Team, Clubs, other), the date and approximate time.
- Note the player's Online ID as displayed, for the report only: don't post it on the forum.
- Pick the right category: EA asks you to report content as illegal only if you believe a criminal offence was committed.
| Situation | Channel to use first |
|---|---|
| Offensive club, squad, avatar or stadium name during a match | In-game report (step 1) |
| Player to report outside a match (PC) | EA app (step 2) |
| In-game reporting not available | EA Help form (step 3) |
| Messages or ID on PlayStation or Xbox | Report to the platform (step 4) |
Step 1: report from the match
When to use it: the offensive content is visible during a match. EA says in-game reporting is the best way, because it passes on all the information needed to investigate.
Step 2: report from the EA app on PC
When to use it: you play on PC and want to report a player outside a match (cheating, harassment).
Step 3: use the EA Help form
When to use it: only if in-game reporting isn't available for your situation, as EA asks.
Step 4: report through PlayStation or Xbox
When to use it: the problem is the PSN ID or gamertag, or messages received in the console chat.
Step 5: block the player and limit who can find you
When to use it: you don't want this player to contact you any more, on top of the report.
Special cases
- No feedback on the penalty: EA states that, for privacy reasons, it doesn't share information about its investigation or any action taken against another player. If you receive an email saying no action was taken, the case is closed.
- Message on social media or Discord: report it directly to that platform, as EA recommends.
- You've been penalized yourself: see Feature blocked by a restriction in EA SPORTS FC 27: check and appeal.
- Message asking for your password or a code: don't reply. EA will never ask for this information. See also What to do if your EA Account was hacked if you gave them out.
Final check
- ☐ The report was made through the right channel (game, EA app, form or platform).
- ☐ The right category was chosen (offensive, cheating, harassment or illegal).
- ☐ The player is blocked if you want no further contact.
- ☐ Your privacy settings match what you want.
